Srinagar: Kishtwar Police on Monday appealed the generalpublic to refrain from wearing Army-pattern or combat dresses.

In a statement, the Police has also advised shopkeepers notto sell combat dresses or Army uniform and alike cloth, as ANEs/militants usesuch dresses to pretend themselves as security personnel in order to carryouttheir “evil designs.

”The statement reads that the traders and shopkeepersinterested in selling Army uniforms are advised to approach the local Policefor establishing their bussiness units in approved areas. “Besides the youth isexhorted to use social media to spread awareness and start a campaign toprevent misuse of Army uniform and equipment as fashion so that militants/ANEsmay not take advantage of such dresses which may lead to major security lapse,”the statement reads.
